Cunningham's Barbeque Information

Cunningham's Barbeque in Atkins, Arkansas, is one of those hidden gems that locals rave about, and for good reason. Nestled on N Church St, this small but mighty joint serves up some of the most mouthwatering barbecue you'll find in the area. Whether you're a lifelong fan of slow-cooked meats or someone looking to try authentic Southern BBQ for the first time, this place is a must-visit.

The first thing that hits you when you walk into Cunningham's Barbeque is the cozy, no-frills atmosphere. It's the kind of spot where the friendly chatter of regulars fills the air, and you immediately feel at home. The restaurant is modest, but it's clear that the focus here is on the food, and that’s exactly what keeps people coming back. The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, making the experience feel more like a family gathering than just a meal out.

Now, let’s talk about the menu. It’s full of all the BBQ classics you would expect, and they’ve got it down to an art. The pulled pork is a standout-tender, juicy, and perfectly smoky, with just the right amount of seasoning. It’s served up with a side of tangy, slightly spicy sauce that complements the meat without overpowering it. If you're in the mood for something a bit heartier, the ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender, with a caramelized crust that adds a delightful crunch. For the sides, you can’t go wrong with the coleslaw, which strikes the perfect balance of creamy and crunchy, or the baked beans, which are full of rich, smoky flavor.

The real star here, though, might just be the brisket. Slow-cooked to perfection, each bite is a glorious combination of smoky goodness and tenderness. It practically melts in your mouth and is absolutely worth the trip alone. And for those who like a little heat, the spicy sausage links add an extra kick that rounds out the meal beautifully.

What makes Cunningham's Barbeque stand out is the quality of the food in a setting that feels so authentic and unpretentious. There’s no need for fancy decor or frills when you’ve got this level of flavor on your plate. The portions are generous, and the prices are more than fair, which makes it a great spot for a casual meal that won’t break the bank.

It’s not just the food that makes this place special, though. Cunningham's Barbeque has earned a loyal following over the years, thanks to its down-to-earth vibe and consistently delicious dishes. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a leisurely meal with friends, this local favorite will have you leaving satisfied and already thinking about your next visit.

What People's Say About Place

The Cunningham family took good care of us!! This was my first time. We met Reggie putting out the BBQ sign..so friendly and welcoming!! The line is long at 10:35 but well worth the wait!!

10 out of 10 reccomend! Stopped by for the first time today, service was amazing and food was even better! Defiantly will be back again! My meal was 17$ bit I also go jalapeño poppers (I ate on the way home) and bread pudding ( which I started with) everything was amazing!

My husband and I are truckers, I told him I wanted BBQ and he drive there to satisfy my craving. I was not disappointed... Good, service and cleanliness all exceeded my expectations.

I can't say enough good things about Cunningham's!!! That is some of the best BBQ I've ever had from a restaurant. The pulled pork had a wonderful smoke flavor and was very tender. The ribs were cooked to perfection. Not falling off the bone but the perfect bite and still very tender. The way you would cook a perfect competition rib! The rub on the ribs was very tasty. The hot BBQ sauce is out of this world! It had a great kick at first and a nice steady heat as you ate it. Potato salad was my favorite side. Nice and chunky but not overpowering with mayo or mustard. Baked beans were delicious but a little sweet for my personal preference. Best part was the price!!! We got 2 large pork sandwich dinners and a half rack of ribs. Also to bottled cokes and a bottle of water for $33!!! You can't beat that with a stick!!! We fed two adults and two kids. We still took food home! We will definitely be back and I would recommend them 10/10!!!

Just one big YUM!!!! Their prices do not require stopping by the bank for a loan either. Warning get there early if you want to eat. Family owned and everything is served with family pride. They do special events and catering too!

Food was very good, price was right, portions reasonable. Overall well worth the trip.

Food is always awesome! Staff are friendly. Love their BBQ
